SCENIC ART – Phantom Peak

This years early spring was greeted with a string of long days to get this immersive theatre opened and giving it to the public. A whole 32.000 sq feet adventure world, meets escape room and immersive theatre.

The biggest I have seen – thus far… with a new town ( outdoors) and old town ( indoor built) many many rooms and production design mirage of mixing aesthetics , from Edwardian, to computer and western – steam punking this visual spectacle.

Dressing in heights and around corners – to soften some edges…

Submerging myself in a sea of different shades of brown – appreciating nuances and how colourful browns are !?!?

Blending the old with the new – and all for the love of props and scenery- creating believable storyworlds.

Accentuating where needed…

and making it look like spring has sprung a little earlier in this world …

But there was always a little more that could be done .. with so many different scenes and rooms – indoors, outdoors, going underground …

Matching colours, sticking labels and posters and painting it in … to let the illusion of a different world begin …

Another prop created or put in place …

And a whirlwind later – I couldn’t be more sure- that the behind the scenes of making it happen, is my favourite place to be!
